I think it’s a good reminder of sorts to be aware and conscious of how we spend our money and where it goes. :) That and I thought it was hilarious. If not a bit depressing, but hey, the best element of humor is that it contains a bit of truth. ^_^

I was surfing around on his website and I saw this post with this statement:

Every time you spend a dollar, you sacrifice a bit of your future.

He kind of broke it down and hashed it out, but I totally disagree with that statement. If I use a dollar to buy 20 dollars, how is that a sacrifice? More realistically, what I’m saying is, if you spend your money on something worthwhile or has a high rate of return, you are in a sense investing for your future.

For example: Let’s say I spend $300 on a nice business suit. I may wear it once. Or twice. It may get me a job that pays upwards of 90k/year. I’d say the trade-off is worth it.

Anyways, I’m sure that guy is aware of it, it just didn’t seem like it from his post.

I’ve been sick all week and it suuuuuckssssss. And they turned off the water today to fix the water main. That sucks too. But How I Met Your Mother is a great show and Josh Radnor is so cute!
